AMS: TNT-Meter and electronic enclosure

AMS: TNT-Meter and electronic enclosure

The AMS consisting in a thrust and torque sensor (TNT-Meter), connected with onboard electronics to record in real time flight and engine parameters. The AMS is intended to quantify the aerodynamic and propulsion efficiency of the aircraft, with the objective to maximize aircraft overall efficiency, increase payload, range and endurance. The AMS can be used on any type of electrically powered aircraft (UAV, VTOL, Airplane…)

TNT-Meter Capacity

Our current range of TNT sensors have the following load capacities. Different load capacities can be studied on request.

Model Thrust Torque
TNT-050-02 50 N 2 Nm
TNT-100-05 100 N 5 Nm
TNT-250-15 250 N 15 Nm
TNT-500-30 500 N 30 Nm
TNT-750-50 750 N 50 Nm

The AMS can be used on different aircraft sizes. This estimation is based on the ratio Mx. Thrust / Mx. Weight:

  • > 0.4 for fixed wing aircraft,
  • > 2 for multirotor aircraft

Computed accuracy (fixed wing aircraft)

The computed accuracy is determined analytically from sensors manufacturer datasheets assuming that the wing area, the total wetted area, the flight weight, the wing aspect ratio and the Oswald efficiency factor are known.
